June is the gayest month of the year. Pride celebrations occur in many of the hottest cities, namely, San Francisco, Toronto, New York, and Winnipeg. Not only does proudly celebrating our queer awesome selves have the potential for googling some “queer porn”, but some of your favourite porn producers and performers can be found attending or throwing some awesome parties.

NEWS:
*It’s been an exciting week of news for queers in porn as the majority of the queer porn stars we watch and report on live in the USA. And they had a significant political step forward in actualizing marriage equality for the non-man/woman-type couples, aka “gay marriage”.
Read this awesome blog post on Pink Label TV about the process, the triumphs and the art.

Also, if you’re into political porn, check out Shine Louise Houston’s mini feature, OCCUPIED.

*Valencia – The Movie
This month Valencia – The Movie premiered at Frameline in San Francisco. A film adaptation of Michelle Tea’s novel Valencia. Created by multiple directors, who took on individual chapters, this much anticipated film was surely a delight to behold. Alexa Shae, one of the directors, talks about the influence and benefits of being a creator at The Crash Pad in their blog post: FILM CRAFT: Valencia the Movies and How Crash Pad Made Me a Better Filmmaker.
Of course, Courtney Trouble (well known queer porn creator) was also one of the talented directors to contribute to this film. Read more about her and her participation on her blog: Valencia – The Movie Is HERE!

June was the month of Father’s Day. And what a better way to celebrate than to explore the Daddies of Queer Porn. Which is exactly what was being celebrated over at Crash Pad, the other website by Shine Louise Houston.
Check out this hot list of Daddies at the Crash Pad, then sign up (if you haven’t already done so) and select from many many varieties of scenes to watch. Crash Pad is the land of queer porn aplenty.

Porn Stars Write:
Just a brief ending to our June Updates: Besides the amazing blog posts I’ve already offered here for your viewing enjoyment, I’d like to highlight a couple more – porn stars’ personal blog posts. There’s nothing I love more (besides watching people have sex, of course) than reading the thoughts of creators and performers in regards to their work. Syd Blakovich of Crash Pad fame, writes about the personal process of working in porn and not working in porn.

And just in case you’re interested in my own point of view, I recently wrote about my “return, of sorts” to queer porn after taking a step back.
